Fur Stitching Machine - Early

Serial Number 2884G (under top plate).

A 19th century fur stitching machine made by , Engineers & Patentees. The design didn't alter into the 20th century. One of the pedals opens and closes the two round disks so that the fur is stitched between the two. The machine is very similar to a Singer 46. Fur Stitching Machine - Later

A 20th century fur stitching machine, comparable with the Singer 46. The two round disks open, allowing the hairs of the fur to be parted and stitched accordingly.
