Bown - Spring Driven Motor

1886. This spring driven motor could be wound up by a boy or girl in two or three minutes. It could be applied to Singer's family machines and Willcox & Gibbs machines and it pre-dated the American made Brosius Sewing machine of 1893. William Bown's trade was that of attachments maker initially.
