Friction Drive - Singer Friction Drive Motor Driven Sewing Machine

Courtesy of Capt. This is a friction drive motor on a Singer 128 treadle dating to December 1916. It's very unusual to find a friction drive motor on a Singer. The motor was patented by Frederick Osius of the Hamilton Beach Co. and it is likely that Singer didn't use this type of motor for very long. For further information see This Topic and This Topic.
