Alfa - 'Viceroy'

Courtesy of Claire Sherwell. #817891, cast underneath G107-4. Sold in England by the Birmingham sewing machine seller, Universal Sewing Machines Ltd., 27-33 Hurst Street. Cotton bobbins/reels are placed in the 'concealed' compartment on the top of the machine and thread is drawn through the top. At the top of the faceplate (with the 'mushroom top') is the Patchomatic lever for automatic darning. For darning the butterfly lever is depressed, with stitch length control at zero. The stitch length control is marked A - R (advance and reverse). This is a small sized machine, machine bed measures 14"x7".
